What to expect.
The first consultation will last up to one hour, with subsequent visits lasting between 30 and 40 minutes.
What happens at a consultation?
On your first visit a detailed muscular-skeletal and medical history is taken to ensure a personalised treatment plan is formulated. You may ask a friend or family member to accompany you. All patient details conform to the Data Protection Act 1998
How many treatments will I need?
There is no set rule to the number of treatments that will be necessary as this is dependant on a variety of factors unique to each patient; including the type of medical complaint, whether it is chronic or acute etc. However, we will always discuss your course of treatment with you on your initial visit.
Does it hurt?
No! Osteopathic techniques are gentle adjustments.
What should I wear?
It is best to wear loose fitting clothing as this will make it easier for the Osteopath to treat you.
Will my Private Health insurance cover my costs?
Most major health insurers are provided for.
